Frequently Asked Questions

  • After your paperwork is submitted we will set a date and time for your appointment. Next you will be sent a link to join the session at the scheduled time through Zoom.

If you do not have Zoom, you may download it for free at Zoom.us. It is best to connect your video 5 mins before our session, just in case we have any technical issues.

  • I do not accept insurance or Medicaid. In many cases clients are able to use HSA and FSA accounts to pay for counseling services.

I do not submit information to your insurance company and recommend checking with your insurance company prior to starting services if you wish to file for reimbursement.

After each session, I can provide you with what is known as a superbill, which you can email to your insurance agency in the event that they accept out of network mental health providers.

If they will not reimburse you, you may make a claim for the sessions to help you meet your deductible.

  • Mental health counseling is for the purpose of absolving or reducing the intensity of past or present pain, distress, psychological challenges or clinical disorders.

Coaching is helping a person move toward their maximum potential in a personal or professional capacity. A candidate for coaching must demonstrate objective health. In the event they are actively struggling with a mental health disorder, an individual must seek mental health services.

A client cannot have the same mental health counselor and life coach.

Intentional Bridges is not currently accepting applications for coaching.

  • All major credit cards are accepted, including HSA and FSA accounts through our secure portal.

Other individuals, churches, or organizations may provide financial assistance and would need to contact us to provide us with billing information.

  • I recommend that we meet weekly for 3 weeks. Then we can move to every other week. As goals are met or the level of distress is reduced, the interval between sessions can be extended.

Many primary issues are resolved within 6 or 7 sessions.

  • For mental health concerns, I can only meet with individuals in Florida or Georgia. However, for individual or relational coaching, mentoring, guidance, and consultation, I can meet with anyone anywhere in the world.

  • All are welcome to participate in services offered at Intentional Bridges.

You do not have to identify as a Christian. I can integrate matters of faith and spirituality as much or as little as you desire.

However, all training, tools, understanding of human nature, and life outlook will reflect a Biblical worldview.
